Young, but the experienced professional musicians, which had finished Saint-Petersburg` s Conservatory, laureates of The International contests, published their first, very unusual album. Firstly, components are unusual - accordion, piano, clarinet and violoncello. Secondly, it is choice of repertoire. Analogies aren't now. Academic musicians chose no classical composers, but modern classics are known the whole world-Shnitke, Gubaidulina, Vlasov, Desyatnikov.

The modern music seems a lot of people (as a matter of fact professional musicians also) very difficult, incomprehensible. It is true, this music isn't simple. But also it is comprehensible and absorbing, because opuses were recorded on this disc are theatrical, so they include a plot. Listening is more interesting when people can introduce literary, religious image, when music illustrates, creates mood, communicates conditions of heroes.

Suites are played QuARTru absolutely self-adequate. This is beautiful Shnitke's "Revizskya skazka", which was written by a performance of Gogol's books - lively, unusual such as Gogol's original texts. And Desyatnikov's suite "Nachklange aus dem theatre", which includes items from the performances, was put into shape in different time. Vlasov's "The Concert Triptych" which was written under impression from Bosch's picture "Last Judgment" communicates the pictures of Paradize and hell, but it is the intellectual puzzle because names of Voevodin's dynasty - fifteen generations of musicians, owing to whom Ukraine became famous - are hidden in notes.

Composition of Gubaidulina "In Croce" is the most philosophical composition. The cross is one of the main theme in S. Gubaidulina's creation, her music has a lot of suffering and belief, horror and beauty.

Although QuARTru exists no long time, sense of assemble, mastery are on high, inspiration too!

"The Instrumental theatre"

I want to express my honest admiration our CD-disc and music, which has been written on it.

Certainly, I can't to know everything that to happen in the whole music world. But that I heard before give me a base to say that your assemble is a new word, a new break in music.

Firstly, it is the unusual set of the academic instruments: piano, clarinet, violoncello and accordion. Look, what a line (such as in perfume) is traced here: wind - wind keyed - keyed-knock stringed - stringed-bow.. We look that each next instrument has some relationship with proceeding.

Secondly, everybody is young and gifted. I can say about music (correctly about the performance) such as a hearer (although, qualified), but and a musician, which know this music out of, and such as a teacher, which has embodied this music in the lively sound with his students. So I can to say that the musical level of everybody is very high. The version of performance says about it.

Thirdly, it is a very high level of transcription, which lifts every composition by the original compositions. "Revizskaya skazka" was written by the composer for an other staff, but I think that nobody believe when listen to it.

"Bosch's" has gladdened me especially. Although I isn't a new-born in transcription, so as 25 the artistic films (it is such as a theatre), recording with the symphonic orchestra of U.S.S.R. State Film with such the conductors as Khatchaturian, Nikolaevskiy, Stilman and others, but that did by R. Smolyar is very beautiful. For example, these cries of clarinet in the third part - it is lively illustration of third part of picture Bosch's, as if Devil, which mock at sinners and is blowing in his trumpet... I can say also about the others transcriptions. I won't write very much, but I say that your CD-disc is the new word in music. I want congratulate and say "Thank you!" to the assemble. I hope that you will continue your high-creative work and will develop this direction in the future. I wish you success!

«The instrumental theatre».

The unusual name and unusual for performance of symphonic music structure: a piano (Polina Grigoryeva), a violoncello (Andrey Ivanov), a clarinet (Renat Rakov) and an accordion (Vladimir Orlov, the ideological inspirer of the project).

Participants of a quartet - graduates of the St.-Petersburg conservatory and, despite of a youth, prize-winners not one international competition - in a debut album have comprehended products of modern composers, during lifetime of recognized classical composers. Two of the chosen plays really have the direct attitude to theatre. «Revizskaya skazka» of A. Shnitke is the suite written to performance on Gogol motives of Theatre on Òaganka. And Leonid Desjatnikov's suite "Echoes of theatre" - "echoes" of music to the various statements, composed by it in different years. Other products also have "plot" character. In Croce ("on a cross") - philosophical reflection of Sofia Gubaidulina about suffering and belief. V. Vlasova's concert triptych is inspired Ieronima Bosch's by picture "Terrible court". And, just as in an acrostic - letters, here cipher by notes names of representatives of fifteen generations of Voevodin's dynasty, the Ukrainian musicians.

The multilayered cultural pie turns out - performers talk to composers, those, in turn, with founders of literary and picturesque bases; gathered, musical plays in the most unexpected ways resound between themselves. And all this game of symbols, images and the senses, sated by alive emotions, not seems next "postmodernist parade" at all.
